Rich Hamilton is a member of the NWWG and head of the SWOT. He has been a mountaineer for over 20 years, summiting high peaks from Alaska to the Andes. He is also a somewhat less accomplished kayaker, skier and backpacker. Seeing, first hand, the effects of global warming on glaciers in the world’s high mountains inspired Rich to take action by entering the wind industry. Rich is President of Great Basin Wind LLC with several hundred megawatts of wind projects under development.
